with the STANLEY® Guard Personal Safety App
Your campus community is a city that never sleeps. Occasionally, students, faculty, and staff in your community will find themselves alone or in otherwise potentially vulnerable situations. With the STANLEY Guard Personal Safety app, anyone on your campus can carry your whole campus safety department in their pocket. Whether they're jogging through a remote location, walking to their car after a long night of studying, or meeting a friend in a secluded area, they can activate an alert manually with simple, familiar actions– like shaking their phone or swiping at their screen– or utilize automatic features– like journeys or scheduling meetings.
Simply put, the STANLEY Guard Personal Safety App offers versatile safety features for anyone on your campus, wherever they go. STANLEY Guard quickly and conveniently provides your entire campus community safety and peace of mind in any situation.
Whenever students or staff feel unsafe, they can alert campus safety authorities by simply shaking their phone or swiping at their screen. The user can also use their phone as an alarm device, causing it to emit loud noises and strobe lighting. This easy operation, coupled with the visibility and confidence in an appropriate Security Response, means your campus community gains peace of mind knowing that security personnel are always within reach.
Students and staff can feel a sense of safety while traveling from one location to another by setting detailed pre-arranged Journeys in the app. STANLEY Guard will monitor their route and timing, and request confirmation of their arrival. If the user deviates from their route, the app will notify them and request that they deactivate an alert. If the user does not switch off this timed alert, the Command Center dashboard is alerted automatically, and will begin to receive video and audio evidence of the user's situation.
This functionality enables users to automatically alert campus authorities if they unexpectedly deviate from their predetermined schedule and do not switch off a timed alert. The last known location of the phone is also transmitted to the Command Center even if the phone is broken, turned off, or otherwise out of service.
Upon activation, if there is no movement from the user's device, or their device detects another dangerous situation– such as a free fall motion or an impact situation such as a car crash– the Command Center will be alerted to respond appropriately.
- A duress code can be entered in emergency situations. The app will appear to close, but will actually send a discrete alert to the Command Center dashboard.
- Users can control how alerts are activated based on their preference. For example, they can choose to shake the phone or swipe at the screen. They can also choose to enable their phones to emit loud alarm tones with strobe lighting to draw attention.
Emergency Contact List
- Students and staff can add emergency contact lists in the app. If they send an alert while off campus, their emergency contact list will be notified.
